Harnesses Tree climbing harnesses come in two main types - sit harnesses and full body harnesses. Sit harnesses have a waist belt and leg loops, with an attachment point at the pelvis, and sometimes a sit strap. These are for use only in positioning and rope access work. Full body harnesses are made up of a waist belt, leg loops, shoulder strap and usually a sit strap. They may have a pelvic attachment point and also one at the chest. For tree climbing a pelvic attachment is preferable. Tree climbing calls for good manoeuvrability which is why sit harnesses are more popular among arborists. Some harnesses allow multiple ventral attachments, which give you more alternatives in any given situation.

Climbing Spurs We supply climbers fitted with gaffs as standard. We carry an excellent range of spares, including long and short replacement gaffs, pads, straps and screws. All our spurs are fully adjustable and have replaceable gaffs. Each model is supplied fully assembled. Climbing spurs are not considered PPE.
